Continuous AMD reading. Multiple decision points. Requires navigating the Judas in real time. More opportunities per session. Suits experienced traders comfortable with live AMD phase identification.
Positioned after manipulation resolves. Single decision point. Clear pass/fail: displacement + FVG or no trade. Fewer but more defined opportunities. Suits traders developing discipline and repeatability.
A displacement at 09:45 EST is NOT a NY AM silver bullet — the window opens at 10:00. The time specificity is non-negotiable.
A slow drift or micro-breakout does NOT qualify. The displacement must be visually obvious — notably larger than surrounding candles. If you have to debate it, it is not.
Price can pass through the FVG without reacting. Wait for the LTF CHoCH or rejection candle at the CE. The confirmation IS the entry trigger.
One entry per window maximum. A stop-out closes the window, not the opportunity to try again. Wait for the next session’s window.
Not every window produces a valid setup. The discipline to skip windows without all four elements is as important as the discipline to enter valid ones.
